In 2005, ten ASEAN countries signed an agreement to create an ASEAN community with the goal of setting up an economic zone capable of playing a prominent role in the world economy.

In this context of regional and global integration, the Kingdom of Cambodia is making significant efforts to advance its socioeconomic development. This goal involves modernizing and consolidating the country’s higher education system, which suffers from a lack of means either in terms of financial aspect or quality control.

The GEReSH-CAM Project aims to support Cambodian authorities on this path by articulating a policy of research and innovation as well as through institutional capacity building in higher education, with a specific focus on the social sciences and humanities.
